No Child Left Behind: Creating a culture of inclusion in
the classroom
This workshop centres on inclusion; to help participants gain an insight into the concepts of awareness, understanding and inclusion, in order to create a culture of inclusion in the school. Participants are provided with an introduction to the various special needs e.g.
Autism/ASD, ADHD and Dyslexia, and the workshop is focused primarily at helping students with special needs deal with their
learning challenges against the context of a wider school environment.
Understanding Special Educational Needs
This workshop will help participants derive a clear understanding of what special needs are; to identify the general characteristics of the main special needs categories, e.g. ASD and ADHD/ADD; and to obtain new skills and methods to help manage students with special needs in the classroom. It will also explore some of the key issues in the area of special needs, e.g. anger management and bullying, and specifically for teachers, will help them manage and deal with family members of children with special needs.

This is a specialised workshop on ADHD intended to provide deeper insights on matters related to ADHD. It covers topics such as the

Dyslexia: Studying and Learning Effectively
This workshop will focus on how learning occurs and provides a perspective on different methods of learning, adopting a strengthsbased approach to help students optimise their potential. Strategies will be provided to help parents and teachers give guidance to children with dyslexia and other learning difficulties.
Sensory Processing Disorder
The workshop will help participants gain a better understanding of the ethology and impact of Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) in children; develop an empathy for children with SPD and examine the world through their eyes; and learn about various classroom strategies that can be used to help students with SPD.
