Building Strong Families
Building Relationships with Your Children Through Love Languages
Following the session, participants will be able to:
• understand the 5 Love Languages by Dr Gary Chapman;
• learn about their own love languages and identify the love languages of the significant people in their lives;
• learn how to apply the use of love language in their daily lives to build relationships with family, friends and others.
Love Maps for Life
This workshop will help couples to gain a deeper understanding of
each other in order to better weather the storms and crises in life.
How?
1. We will examine the Stages of a Marriage as outlined by Bader & Pearson
2. We will look at marriage from a psychological perspective
3. We will help you develop a Love Map, a place in your brain
where you store all the personally important information about your partner’s life
When we understand what is important to our spouses, we can
choose to build up our spouse’s love tank, and secure a strong
foundation for our marriages.
Who will benefit:
• Couples who are dealing with conflicts in their marriage
• Couples who want to see change in their marriage
Creating a Safe Space: How to Help Your Child Manage the Transition to Pre-School & Primary School
Transitions and change are a necessary part of life. But they are also not easy to negotiate. For children, the process is even more difficult, as they need to deal with complex issues associated with growing up such as understanding who they are and how to relate better with their family, friends and teachers. This workshop will help parents better understand the changes involved in the transition from home to Pre-school and Primary School. It will also help parents manage the anxiety and stress associated with this process, and provide suggestions on how to create a “safe space” for children to cope with the pressures faced.
